Visa Bulletin for June 2025

Visa Bulletin for June 2025 – What International Nurses Need to Know

The U.S. Department of State has released the June 2025 Visa Bulletin, and we’re here to break it down for you in simple, nurse-friendly terms.

At NurseMatch, most of the international RNs we support begin their U.S. journey through a TN Visa (for Canadian citizens) or an H-1B Visa. While the Visa Bulletin primarily impacts Green Card applicants (especially those in the EB-3 category), we believe it’s important to stay informed — especially if permanent residency is in your future goals.

Let’s take a look at what changed this month

Quick Summary: June 2025 Highlights

  • EB-1: Unchanged. All countries current except India (Feb 15, 2022) and China (Nov 8, 2022).

  • EB-2: China moves forward 2 months (to Dec 1, 2020); other countries advance nearly 4 months (to Oct 15, 2023); India remains the same.

  • EB-3: Small progress for most — India unchanged (Apr 15, 2013); China advances ~3 weeks (to Nov 22, 2020); other countries move ~5 weeks forward (to Feb 8, 2023).

  • USCIS will continue using the Final Action Dates chart for June adjustment of status filings.

EB-3 Category Breakdown (Skilled Nurses & Professionals)

India

  • Final Action Date: April 15, 2013 (No change)

China

  • Final Action Date: November 22, 2020 (Advanced ~3 weeks)

All Other Areas (including Philippines, Mexico, and most countries)

  • Final Action Date: February 8, 2023 (Advanced ~5 weeks)

Reminder: Your “priority date” must be earlier than these Final Action Dates to be eligible to file for your Green Card.
Even if you’re currently working in the U.S. on a TN or H-1B visa, it’s important to understand these trends for future planning.

Visa Bulletin June 2025 / NurseMatch Takeaway

While many of our nurses begin their U.S. careers through TN or H-1B pathways, we know many of you are already thinking about long-term goals — like getting a Green Card. That’s why we bring you these updates each month.

In June, we’re seeing gradual forward movement in both EB-2 and EB-3 for most countries, which is encouraging. However, India continues to face significant backlogs, which is something to keep in mind if you’re planning your long-term immigration strategy.

The good news? If you’re from a non-backlogged country like the Philippines, Mexico, or Canada, the EB-3 Final Action Date continues to move forward — now sitting at February 8, 2023. This trend is a positive sign for those planning to adjust status later on.

At NurseMatch, we’re not just here for the start of your journey — we’re here to guide you through the long-term, too.
